Paul Schobre
Paul Schobre is registered in Belgium as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. He is a supervisor in cognitive behavioral therapy (VVGT), a systemic therapist (BVRGS), an EMDR practitioner (EMDR Europe), and a trainer-supervisor in schema therapy (ISST & Schematherapie Vlaanderen vzw).
He works in his own practice (Trivium-Psychologenpraktijk), where he provides individual, couple, and family therapy.
As a guest lecturer and supervisor, he participates in the postgraduate program in behavioral therapy (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven & Universiteit Gent).
He also participates as a guest lecturer at RINO-Zuid (mental health training/systemic therapy).
Partly thanks to Arnoud Arntz, he became increasingly enthusiastic about schema therapy from 2002 onwards. This resulted in a joint publication1.
His many years of experience in working with couples, mainly in his own practice but also previously in addiction care, inspired him to specialize further in “schema therapy for couples” (IST-Frankfurt, Germany, under the supervision of Dr. E. Roediger). He is chairman of ‘Schematherapie Vlaanderen vzw’ and is part of an international working group on ST-C.
