About this course
This workshop aims to help participants become more effective in applying the chair technique. There will also be attention given to variations in the use of chairs that have not yet—or barely—been addressed in previous courses. All in all, this two-day workshop will significantly enrich your knowledge and skills in working with the chair technique.

Learning Objectives
- The participant is familiar with the latest scientific insights regarding both the effectiveness and the mechanisms of action of the technique.
- Previously acquired knowledge and skills from earlier trainings have been refreshed.
- The participant has learned to adapt the application of the technique to the changing phases of the therapeutic process.
- The participant has learned to handle some of the most common challenging situations in clinical practice, such as dealing with strong client resistance to the technique or harsh punitive self-reflections.
- The participant has gained greater confidence in independently applying the technique in practice.
- The participant has acquired insight into the most common pitfalls therapists encounter when using the technique.
Who is this course intended for?
Participation in the workshop requires completion of a minimum 25-hour accredited basic course in schema therapy.
