Hélène Bögels
Hélène Bögels is a clinical psychologist/psychotherapist who has been working at Reinier van Arkel since 2001 and is affiliated with Psychotherapie Den Bosch. At Reinier van Arkel, she works as an individual and group psychotherapist in adolescent psychiatry. In her own practice, she treats adults within specialist mental health care using schema therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and EMDR. She is a supervisor for the Association for Schema Therapy and the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). In addition, she is a supervisor/training therapist in cognitive behavioral therapy (VGCt), a supervisor in group psychotherapy (NVGP), and an EMDR Europe Practitioner (VEN). She taught a basic course in cognitive behavioral therapy for more than 10 years, until 2016. She has been teaching Schema Therapy since 2014. As a therapist, she has participated in research into the effectiveness of schema therapy in 50 sessions (Arntz, Bamelis). She has experience in schema therapy for cluster B and C, individually and in groups. Until October 2018, she was active in the Association for Schema Therapy (board member with responsibility for training and registration). She is now a member of the Training and Certification Advisory Board of the International Society of Schema Therapy and chair of the International Connections Committee of the Association for Schema Therapy.Publication:
